Meet in public
Pick a busy, well-lit spot (a metro station, a mall, the seller's storefront). Bring a friend for higher-value items.
Inspect before paying
Check the item against the listing photos. Test electronics. For vehicles, ask for documents and a test drive. Walk away if anything feels off.
Pay safely
Cash or UPI in person is the norm. Avoid wiring money before seeing the item. Never share OTPs — SellR will never ask for one.
Spot scams
Common red flags: pressure to pay immediately, requests to move chat to WhatsApp, refusal to meet, prices way below market. Report the listing from its detail page.
Report and block
Use the Report button on any listing or seller profile to flag abuse. You can also block users from chat — they won't be able to message you again.
